The night settled down around the small fragile filly new sound carried to her small cupped ears. A scream startled her she let out a shrill whinny and bolted and ran as fast as her little legs could carry her. She looked back behind her not noticing the dip in the earth and she tumbled down it hitting her head several times. She came to a stop and she shook her head clearing the pain from her head and looked up at the stars twinkling above her, it was a soothing sight she yawned slightly and whimpered as she missed the warmth of her mother at her side. At last she fell into a restless sleep, which promised of nightmares and more screaming.
